Kemp-Youngkin GOTV Expert Brian Barrett Joins Sentinel Action Fund as Political Director
WASHINGTON – Today, the Sentinel Action Fund (SAF), an independent conservative super PAC, announced that Brian Barrett will be joining the team as Political Director.
Barrett has spent his career mobilizing voters and building out ballot chasing and get-out-the-vote programs for high-profile campaigns. Most recently, Barrett ran Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s absentee and early vote program, which was one of the largest coordinated campaign efforts in Virginia history that helped Republicans over perform the 2020 Republican ticket in every target district by more than 5%. Prior to his work turning out low propensity voters in Virginia, Barrett ran Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s vaunted turnout operation, which helped propel Governor Kemp to victory over Democrat Stacey Abrams by 8%.
Jessica Anderson, President of Sentinel Action Fund, made the following statement:
“Deploying voters to utilize absentee, early vote, and election day voting will be key for conservatives to win battleground races in 2024, and Sentinel Action Fund is thrilled to welcome Brian Barrett to lead this effort on our team. His work with absentee and early vote programs in both Georgia and Virginia have shown not only his expertise in this area, but also the results that come from investing in aggressive ballot chasing and get-out-the-vote programs. We look forward to replicating, perfecting, and expanding these efforts and using Brian’s extensive knowledge to build out a top-notch program and bring Republicans across the finish line in November.”
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp said:
“In Georgia we created the program on how to effectively turnout low propensity voters through absentee and early voting process. It is going to be critical to all our candidates this cycle that the same emphasis is spent helping Republicans be competitive again during the absentee and early voting window. That is why I’m happy that Sentinel Action Fund has hired our former team member Brian Barrett to help guide them on this important mission.”
