Sentinel Action Fund Endorses Susan Collins for Senate, Announces Partnership with Laurel Libby and Lead Maine Committee to Turn Out Voters with Over $4 Million Investment in Maine
WASHINGTON – Today, Sentinel Action Fund and Maine grassroots leader Laurel Libby announced a partnership through the Lead Maine Committee, a new Maine political action committee dedicated to turning out conservative voters. This partnership will invest over $4 million to support Senator Susan Collins’s (R-ME) re-election in 2026. This also marks Sentinel Action Fund’s first endorsement for the 2026 midterm election cycle.
Sentinel Action Fund President Jessica Anderson released the following statement:
Maine deserves to have common-sense representation in Congress, and with a strong candidate, effective ground game operation, and an energized grassroots network, we can build and turnout the coalition of voters needed to win. Sentinel Action Fund is pleased to announce our endorsement of Senator Susan Collins, and with it this important partnership with Laurel Libby and the Lead Maine Committee which will support Senator Collins’s re-election. Laurel’s grassroots experience and leadership in the state will make her an invaluable partner to our efforts to turn out voters early and on Election Day.
This partnership and investment come ahead of a pivotal midterm election cycle. Maine’s Senate seat will play a critical role in securing and expanding the Republican Senate majority and protecting it is an essential step toward achieving a 60-seat majority. Senator Susan Collins is a proven leader and a steadfast champion of the freedoms and policies that matter most to Mainers, especially as those values face growing threats from the far Left. We look forward to ensuring she returns to the Senate for another term.
Lead Maine Committee President Laurel Libby, added:
I understand firsthand just how radical Maine Democrats have become. Protecting this Senate seat and ensuring Senator Collins can continue her work in Washington is important to every freedom-loving Mainer. Lead Maine’s efforts and partnership with Sentinel Action Fund is dedicated to empowering Mainers to use their voices and build a network that will not only support this key race, but will also fill structural gaps in our state as we look beyond 2026. I am excited to lead the charge on the ground and work with our partners to turn Maine solidly red.
BACKGROUND:
- Earlier today, Maine Representative Laurel Libby (R-Auburn) announced that she would not seek re-election to the state legislature, but will instead launch a network of organizations dedicated to advancing conservative candidates and policies in 2026 and beyond. One of these organizations is the Lead Maine Committee, a federal super PAC committed to electing Republicans to Congress.
- Sentinel Action Fund and Lead Maine’s seven-figure investment will immediately work to support turning out conservative voters through issue advocacy campaigns followed by get-out-the-vote efforts ahead of the 2026 election.
- Sentinel Action Fund is a federal super PAC focusing on U.S. Senate elections. It is the only conservative super PAC with a year-round ground game committed to turning out absentee, early vote, and "day of" voters.
- In 2024, Sentinel Action Fund endorsed and supported U.S. Senate candidates – and current Senators – Dave McCormick (R-PA), Tim Sheehy (R-MT), and Bernie Moreno (R-OH).
