WASHINGTON – Abdul El-Sayed, a radical Democrat backed by Left-wing extremists like Hasan Piker, won his Democratic primary race in Michigan. El-Sayed will now face common sense Republican Mike Rogers this November in the U.S. Senate race.

Democrats can now add Abdul El-Sayed to the list of extremist candidates they are running this cycle. Meanwhile, Michigan voters officially nominated Mike Rogers, a strong Republican with a proven record of delivering for Michigan families and workers. 

The results in Michigan should make the choice easy in November: a far-Left socialist and the Democratic leadership that has been failing them for over 25 years, or an America First leader who has already fought for solutions to the problems Michiganders face every day. This election is no longer just Democrat versus Republican – it is socialism versus solutions.

As we look across the country, the stage is now set for the midterms. Democrats have officially nominated a coalition of extremists like Abdul El-Sayed, Troy Jackson, James Talarico, Roy Cooper, Jon Ossoff, and Sherrod Brown. 

After years of a leadership vacuum, today's Democratic Party has fully embraced a socialist brand of politics that is out of step with America's traditions, values, and any sense of reality. The stakes have never been higher to defeat this anti-American extremism once and for all. Voters cannot sit on the sidelines this year – they must use every legal tool at their disposal to vote and make their voices heard and encourage friends and family members to do the same. 90 days to go.

BACKGROUND:

• Abdul El-Sayed has been endorsed by every member of the socialist “Squad,” including Representatives Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).
• El-Sayed has also campaigned with extremist internet streamer Hasan Piker, who has previously claimed “America deserved 9/11,” and called Mao Zedong a “great leader.” El-Sayed campaigned alongside Hasan Piker as recently as Monday.
• During the campaign, El-Sayed was criticized for his refusal to make a statement about the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei – a top leader of the largest state sponsor of terror – because “there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad.”
• El-Sayed also opposed Oklahoma’s ban on Sharia law.
• On the other hand, Trump-endorsed Republican Mike Rogers is an established leader who fights for Michigan families and workers every day. During his time in Congress, he’s fought to unleash American energy, lessen tax burdens, support small businesses, and protect Michigan’s auto industry.
• As part of his campaign for U.S. Senate, Mike Rogers also released a robust housing plan designed to address housing affordability concerns for Michiganders.
• Earlier this year, Sentinel Action Fund endorsed Mike Rogers. Sentinel Action Fund and its sister 501c4 organization, Right Vote, also committed to a combined spend of more than $15 Million in Michigan.
• Sentinel Action Fund is a federal super PAC focusing on U.S. Senate elections. It is the only conservative super PAC with a year-round ground game committed to turning out absentee, early vote, and "day of" voters. Right Vote is Sentinel Action Fund’s sister 501c4 advocacy organization.
